DW Infrastructure Consulting

Who We Are

Commercial & Engineering Consulting

Specialist consulting services for contractors, clients and service providers in the construction sector

DW Infrastructure Consulting provides independent commercial and engineering advice across Australia's infrastructure and commercial construction sectors — from bid strategy through to project delivery and close-out.

We work with principal contractors, subcontractors, and project delivery teams to navigate the commercial, contractual, and technical challenges that arise on complex construction projects.

Our advice is practical and grounded in real project experience. We understand how construction contracts work in the field — how disputes develop, how variations are managed, and what it takes to keep a project on track commercially and technically.

DWIC operates as an independent consultancy. Our advice is objective and free from the conflicts of interest that can arise within larger advisory practices.

A winding elevated highway through green hills and trees, with a distant city skyline across the mountains under a clear sky.

About David

David is a civil engineer and commercial specialist with 19 years' experience delivering some of Australia's most technically and commercially complex transport infrastructure projects.

He holds a First-Class Honours degree in Civil Engineering, a Juris Doctor specialising in Corporate and Commercial Law, and Graduate Diplomas in Construction Law and Legal Practice.

Why David?

Most commercial disputes on construction projects aren't really about money — they're about engineering decisions made without commercial awareness, or commercial decisions made without engineering understanding. And they're about a breakdown in communication.

David is one of a small number of practitioners in Australia who combines first-hand site experience, senior commercial management expertise, and formal legal qualifications. In practice, that means he can move between the technical, contractual, and commercial dimensions of a project without losing the thread — and without handing off to someone else. He sees the whole dispute, not just his corner of it — and speaks the language of every discipline involved. Which matters enormously when a project is under pressure.
